The top seeded Dinesh Kumar Sharma of LIC won this tournament by scoring 9 (60.0) in a better tiebreak with S.K.Rathore 9 (59.5) and Hari Om Sharma 9 (56). All these three players received a shared cash price of Rs.7,000/- and D.K.Sharma got a special prize of RS.5,000/- given by Mr.Lal Bhadur Maheshwari the Organising Secretary of this tournament on account of obrtaining the first place. The prize fund of Rs.55,000/- was distributed among 39 players. Prize for the different disciplines were also awarded.

Secretary, UPCA), Mr.Madan Mohan Mittal (President, SDCA) were also present
in the inaugural function.

(President, Rotary Club, Saharanpur) distributed the prizes to the players
in the closing ceremony held on 7.4.2000 Mr.R.K.Goel gave the vote of thanks.
