Akash needed only a draw in his final round match today against Vishal Shah of St.Joseph but he romped home in style, not letting the issue decided by the tie-breaks. On the second table Sachin Kamath who was just half a point behind Akash before the final round, also won his match against Sanju Malaikal to finish with 9.5 points. Sachin Kamath finished in second position ahead of Ninad Puranik, Aditya Vora, Rohil Bhat and Ishan Nadkarni, all of whom finished on 8.5 pts. but were ranked in that order on the basis of progressive scores.
