Thrissur International FIDE Rating Open Chess Tournament
(An AICF Recognised All India Open)

The second Thrissur FIDE rating at Chalakudy is between Ernakulam and Thrissur and had got its own railway station. Players can get down at Thrissur from Express trains and take local trains to Chalakudy. Venue is half a Km from Chalakudy rail station and 3 km from the Chalakudy bus stand. Nearest airport: Nedumbassery International Airport(Kochi).

Schedule: Apr 24 11 a.m. inauguration and first round, thereafter two rounds a day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. from Apr 25-28. Final and tenth round from 9 a.m. on Apr 29 and closing ceremony at 3.30 p.m.

Entry fee: unrated Rs.850, rating upto 2000 Rs.700. From 2000-2200 Rs.600, 2200-2300 Rs.450. Local players Rs.500. Those rated above 2300, IMs, WIMs, GMs, WGMs free. 

Accommodation: Unrated Rs.650 (sharing basis), upto 2000 Rs.500 (sharing), 2000-2200 Rs.400 (sharing), 2200-2300 Rs.300 (sharing), Above 2300, IM/WIM, GM/WGM free. Dormitory Rs.100 per head, bring your bedding. Accommodation for parents/accompanying person can be arranged at Rs.300 per day for single and Rs.500 for double  per day basis if required.

Entry last date: April 10, 2008. Payment should be made by DD payable to Secretary, Chess Association, Thrissur payable at Thrissur. Players should be AICF Registered. Kerala players should have CAK registration. Prizes will not be shared. FIDE rules will apply.
