General Prize Money: 30 Main cash awards in Rupees – 1st prize 10,000, 8,000, 7,000, 4,000, 3,000 from 7 to 17 2,000 each and from 18 to 30 1,000 each. Special prize money – unrated first prize: 2,000, 1,500, 1,000. Special prizes for best women player, U/14 , U/12, U/9. Special prizes for Veteran player: 1,000. Special prizes for best unrated Kerala player: 750 and Best unrated Palakkad player: 750.
Inauguration: 17th April 2008 11.00 A.M.
Accommodation: 1. Players having rating 2300 and above, GMs, IMs, WIMs free, 2. Other unrated players Rs.400/- (on sharing basis) 3. Unrated players Rs. 700/- (on sharing basis) 4. Dormitory accommodation Rs.200/- (Players must bring their own beddings) 5. Spl. Arrangements are made for child players and their lady companions for the accommodation and food at the venue itself at economical rates.
Entry Fee: Unrated Rs.750, less than 2000 Rs.600, 2000 to 2300 Rs.500, above 2300, GM, IM, WIM free. Local players Rs.500.
AICF Regn. and CAK Reg. Applicable to Kerala Players for 2008-2009 are mandatory for participating in the tournament.
Mode of Remittance: Either in cash or DD favouring Palghat Chess Academy payable at Palakkad before the Organizing Secretary and Director/Deputy Director, Palghat Chess Academy.
Tournament Schedule : 10 Rd Swiss Tournament, First Rd 17th April 2008 at 3.00PM and from 18th to 21st 2 Rds each (9.AM to 1. PM and 3 PM to 7 PM) and on 22nd 1 Rd 9.AM to 1 PM. Prize distribution on 22nd April 2008 at 3 PM.
