SCHEDULE: Arrival: Sep 15, Manager's Meeting 9 a.m., Inauguration 11 a.m., Round One 1500; Sep 16: Round 2, 1500; Sep 17: Round 3, 0900, Round 4, 1500; Sep 18: Round 5, 1500; Sep 19: Round 6, 0900, Round 7, 1500; Sep 20: Round 8, 1500; Sep 21: Round 9, 1500; Sep 22: Round 10, 1500, Sep 23: Round 11, 1500; Sep 24: Round 12, 1500; Sep 25: Round 13, 0900, Prize distribution 4 p.m.

LODGING: Free lodging will be provided from Sep 15-25, 2008 to players and one accompanying official nominated by the concerned State Chess Association of each State. THIS WILL BE ON SPECIFIC REQUEST ONLY RECEIVED BEFORE  1-9-2008.

ENTRIES & ENTRY FEES: Regular: Rs.1,000, Special (Donor Entry): Rs.6,000, Ex-National ‘A’ Player: Rs.4200. All special entries should come through the respective State Chess Association/Affiliated Unit of the AICF. There will be 50% concession in entry fee for participants from North Eastern States, Andaman & Nicobar, Jammu & Kashmir. Entries should be received on or before 1-9-2008 by Shri S.A.Salgaocar, The Organising Chairman, 46th National – B Chess Championship-2008, Salgaocar Chambers, Margao, Goa - 403601 with entry fee by D.D drawn in favour of Goa State Chess Association payable at Margao. Late entries will be accepted with a late fee of Rs.500 per participant till 10-09-2008 No entry will be entertained after 10-09-2008.

REGULATIONS: 13-round Swiss; time control of 90-minutes for each player for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move one; top eleven players will qualify for the next National "A", smoking and drinking is strictly prohibited inside the temple complex; progressive scores will be used to break ties; protests if any shall be made with a protest fee of Rs.500 within 30 minutes and will be refunded if it is upheld; no participant may leave the venue before the prize distribution without the permission of the chief arbiter; all players should be AICF Registered for 2008-2009 with proof or else pay Rs.250. Clocks: Each participating association must provide atleast two digital chess clocks.

Note: Shri. Damodar Saunsthan, Zambaulim is situated south of Margao. It is about 20 kms from the Margao Railway Station and approximately 30 minutes drive from Margao city. Buses will be provided to pick up all the participants and drop them back to Margao Railway Station (provided prior information is given). Hence participants are requested to inform us their travel Plan well in advance.
